Adoption

One of the words that I use to describe myself is Birth-Mother. I am a birth-mother who placed a child into an Open Adoption in 2004. My social worker that I had for pre and post placement counseling advised me that some say it is very healing to write out our adoption stories. I followed her lead and wrote out my adoption story.

As technology progressed more and more people have a blog or site with their adoption story on. You can read my adoption experience by clicking on the Adoption tab and selecting the option that is listed. Please feel free to leave comments and or questions after taking a few moments to read my experience.

Below are also few adoption blogs that I tend to follow.

    Hi Amy,

Happy New Year! I’m writing to see if you’d like to be share your thoughts for a blog post I’m writing.

I’m asking birth mothers: what advice do you have for prospective birth parents and/or adoptive parents in 2012?

If you could send me a short answer of 2-4 sentences (up to about 75 words) by this Wednesday, Jan. 4, I’ll publish it on our blog at http://www.americaadopts.com/blog

Please include a link to your personal website or blog and a photo of yourself and I’ll be happy to post them with your answer.

If you have any questions or comments, don’t hesitate to let me know. Thanks in advance and Happy 2012!
